"In Texas, we are designing our homes with fewer hallways as much as feasible. A moment from our site visit last week in Asheville, North Carolina. This project, Elk View, is a progression of housing in America that reconnects with nature through sustainable building technologies. The homes being built will run near net zero after extensive mechanical analysis. Each home has been modeled in our studio, with that model then being exported for testing by a specialty engineer before engaging with contractors. In this manner, we strive to establish the performance of each home before they can be reduced by the realities of competing demands in commercial development. We work with our builders closely to raise the bar without looking to raise the costs. The value of architectural glass- and glazing-related construction activity grew year-over-year in the first quarter of 2024, as it has in every quarter since the start of 2022. However, the rate of expansion has been slowing, and growth has largely been driven by inflation.
