What’s new for the Class of 2027? Some random thoughts for today’s Hunter College convocation: They have lived and learned through a pandemic. They have seen firsthand what forest fires in Canada can do to the air in their own neighborhood. They are living through a ground war in Europe. In the DPCW ⚖️, Peace Education is a major part of the solution and way forward for sustainable peace. Why is Peace Education important? There is the issue throughout history where schools had encouraged and enabled war by indoctrinating youth in nationalism at the expense of truth. Through Peace Education, our youth can grow up with values of peace, and lead the next generation to the path of peace. IWPG urges women across the world to become one to protect their children from wars.

This is exactly why Education is -and should always be- the top priority for our society. Education stands as the cornerstone of resilience, hope, and liberation. It serves as a beacon of hope, illuminating pathways to a brighter future and fostering a sense of possibility. Education enables individuals to break free from the chains of ignorance, oppression, and inequality. It empowers people to challenge injustice, advocate for their rights, and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of society. Thus, investing in education is not only an investment in individuals but also in the collective well-being and progress of humanity. #education #EdTech #digitaleducation
