This Senior Product Manager will be an experienced, hands-on product leader, who thrives in lean, ambiguous start ups, has a passion for customer listening and research, and loves managing our talented Product team. 🏝 You Are - Infinitely curious and seasoned at user research. You have strong detective skills and your superpower is customer listening - by understanding users at all stages of the funnel, you find insights hidden in plain sight. You genuinely love to speak with customers and identify their core motivations and concerns. - A strong communicator, both written and verbally, and an exceptional coordinator. You make sure different teams are moving along and that the launch timelines don’t get derailed. - Detail-oriented with an exceptional ability to get into the nitty gritty, spot dependencies, predict and plan for edge cases and provide well thought out suggestions and requirements to our Tech team. 🏖 You Have - Exceptional project management skills, and have worked with multiple cross-functional stakeholders within a B2C startup environment. - Proven experience of efficiently managing Product Development across the lifecycle. - A proactive mindset, with the foresight to predict and optimise for mid-to-long term outcomes instead of bandaging as a default. Bonus if you have experience with one (or more!) of the following: - the travel tech industry - app-building experience - have worked with both physical and digital products, and understand the nuances and challenges of both types of environments. - 💫 Double bonus points if you have worked with low-usage frequency products, with long feedback cycles. 💫 🏔 What You'll Do - In a nutshell, you will be scaling a much-loved and exceptionally highly rated experience. You’ll drive product innovations to increase user activation and lead conversion for a beloved product. - Hands-on customer listening and user research - you will be speaking with customers regularly to understand their needs, motivations and reasons for drop offs. - Cross-functional project management; everything from strategising, to driving implementation with cross functional teams, to analysis, reporting and optimising. - Identify and research customer pain points, then subsequently create and implement strategies to minimise drop-off. 🛬 Check out the JD - https://lnkd.in/ed7b8pTX Sound like you? 5 Job Titles That Break the Mold and Fuel an Innovation Culture: "Fabric & Home Care Marketing -- That is the job title on my very first business card. I remember holding the card in my hands, staring at it for entirely too long, and thinking, “This is sooooo boring. Even my parents won’t be impressed.” To be fair to P&G, that was the job title on the business card of everyone in marketing in the business units. The company didn’t put job titles on the card for security reasons (or at least that’s what my boss told me when I politely asked why my title wasn’t on the card). I am older now and should have the maturity to accept the bland and nondescript title on my first business card. But I’m not. It’s still boring, and it shouldn’t be because we were working on innovation projects with code names and outfoxing corporate spies in the airport (another story for another post). We were doing cool stuff and should have cool titles to show for it! I’m celebrating my 10-year anniversary with BB Imaging this week, and as I’ve reflected on my journey so far, I noticed some lessons I’ve learned that are worth sharing:  Lesson #1: Leave toxic workplaces asap. I left a negative environment early in my career, realizing that if I got involved in interpersonal conflict, I would burn bridges, close off networks, and potentially end my career. Remember, your environment matters!  Lesson #2: Work in a way that invites opportunity. Our CEO, Blanca Lesmes, personally convinced me to take a chance on a part-time role with professional development opportunities. I only got that call because I’d already built a solid reputation. How? I took several registries right out of school, even though they weren't required for my job. I scanned every patient as if they were a beloved relative. And I always listened to feedback. That earned the respect of peers, doctors, administrators—and landed me my next role.   Lesson #3: Build your professionalism early. I did take the leap, scanning on a part-time basis and netting new clients during my lunch break. Before I knew it, I hadn’t only transitioned to full-time, but was hiring my replacements. And I wasn’t only looking for scanning skills. I was looking for people who could communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service.  Lesson #4: Watch for your strengths. I’ll be honest, managing people was difficult for me, and I came to realize I was better at growing our customer base. By identifying that strength, I could see the value in pivoting to a career path that was more satisfying. So, I went back to school for a master’s degree in healthcare administration, which ultimately set me up for the role I hold now as our VP of Business Development.  I’m excited to continue my journey with BB Imaging because I still have room to grow. (P.S. BB Imaging is always growing, and there’s room for you.) So, here’s to staying humble, continuing to learn, and confidently taking the next step. 

Ex-retail and ex-service folks are the people you need on your product and customer success and sales teams. ☕ They're your future social media specialists juggling posting across 4 platforms, your UX designers, your project managers. Truly, there's nothing like getting some work done at a busy Starbucks to put "job stress" into perspective 😅 I'm keenly aware that my current definition of chaos at work means something WAY DIFFERENT than what these employees are expertly navigating as an airtight team. The prioritization, the multitasking! Chef's kiss. (And absolutely no screen or buffer between them and customers.) It's not a competition, but I maintain that working in retail + service were the toughest, most high-pressure jobs I've ever had, or will ever have again. They prepared me for sooooooo much more than I could have ever fathomed. Whenever I see these jobs on resumes or it comes up in conversation with peers, it's 💯 a green flag for me. Another overlap?
