We're excited to share the impressive outcomes of Halara's NYC pop-up and offer a glimpse into our future plans, as detailed by Alicia Esposito in Retail TouchPoints. Our first pop-up attracted nearly a thousand visitors daily during the weekends, with 33 styles selling out or nearly selling out by the final day. As Gabby Hirata, Global Brand President, noted, "Most of the resources at Halara are spent on fabric research and development and supply chain... everything has been made using activewear fabric or functionality. That is going to forever be an anchoring point for our unique value proposition.” As more and more customers recognize this, we’re planning 20 more pop-ups over the next two years, bringing our mission of living an active lifestyle to even more people through offline activation. Stay tuned as we continue to revolutionize activewear and expand Halara’s reach. Revolutionizing Indian Fashion: The Inspirational Journey of Zudio In 2016, TATA-owned Zudio set out to transform the Indian fashion landscape by providing stylish, premium-quality clothing at pocket-friendly prices for the middle-class youth. Despite fierce competition from established players like V-Mart and Style Bazaar, Zudio not only survived but thrived, even outpacing Westside, another TATA retail chain. By FY24, Zudio had expanded into 46 new cities and increased its presence in 48 more, totaling 545 stores across 164 cities. Its revenue soared past ₹4000 crore in just seven years, with an impressive sales rate of 90 T-shirts every minute and 20 pairs of denims every hour. Zudio’s success stemmed from identifying a market gap: the demand for trendy, affordable clothing for lower and middle-class consumers. Most products are priced between Rs 99 and 999, making fashion accessible to a broad audience. The brand’s low-cost business model involved sourcing inexpensive raw materials and using cost-efficient production methods, focusing on high-volume sales to drive profits. The brand expanded into womenswear and kidswear, further broadening its appeal. Ethical and eco-friendly practices, coupled with savvy social media marketing, bolstered its reputation and trust among the youth, reducing traditional advertising costs. Competing with brands like Isha Ambani’s Yousta, Zudio exemplifies the power of strategic innovation and consumer-centric business models. Part of TATA’s retail portfolio, which reported consolidated revenues of ₹12,375.11 crore and a profit of ₹1,477.46 crore in FY24, Zudio’s journey is a testament to how clear vision and strategic execution can turn challenges into extraordinary achievements. #inspiration #businessgrowth #retailsuccess #fashionrevolution #zudio (Source: startup pedia)

Zudio and Westside are the same company!🛍️ But when they already had Westside, why make Zudio a standalone brand and maintain 2 brands in the same industry? They don't even share stores even though it will be very cost efficient Here’s why: - This is because they want customers to remember each brand clearly. - Sharing stores might save money, but it could confuse customers. - Westside targets people who value high-quality, and it's for a slightly older audience in the mid to high segment. - Zudio offers trendy clothes at lower prices for a younger mid to low-segment audience. - If Westside started selling Zudio-style clothes at cheap prices, their regular customers wouldn't be interested. - Quality matters more than price for Westside, while Zudio focuses on making fashion affordable. - Customers care more about how clothes look and feel, rather than just their price. #RetailStrategy #Tata #Zudio #Westside
