Fun fact: I'm the co-owner of a #nighttrain – actually, one of 3,750+ co-owners. European Sleeper already runs from Brussels to Prague, and the cooperative is raising a new investment round. Time to get on board? 🚉 European Sleeper launched its first night trains between Brussels, Amsterdam and Berlin on 25 May 2023 – & expanded to Prague last month. 💰 The latest (and perhaps final) crowdfunded investment round is already ~two-thirds booked, with funding going towards improving service quality, marketing campaigns, working capital reserves and ... 🍽 Setting up a 10-week pilot to get a dining car on the tracks in the autumn. This mini stretch goal is already more than half funded, and deservedly so: There's nothing cosier than a good train dining car! 🇪🇸 European Sleeper is also working to launch a new route from Amsterdam to Barcelona from 2025, with this selected by the European Commission as one of 10 pilot projects for improving international #traintravel in Europe. 🇪🇺 Speaking of which, Europe is seeing growing market demand for night trains, reflecting a desire for low-carbon, practical & exciting travel options. According to Back-on-Track.eu, polls show 7 out of 10 Europeans would be willing to take night trains instead of planes if the offer seemed reasonable.
