NGMN Alliance enables MNOs to reduce their environmental impact The NGMN Alliance (NGMN) issued a new publication “Reducing Environmental Impact: Best Practices and Recommendations” providing guidance to the mobile telecommunication industry on how to manage and reduce its environmental footprint in relation to greenhouse gas emissions, materials usage, energy and water. “Over the last three decades the mobile industry has provided enormous economic and societal benefits to billions of users worldwide. We must however continue this success story in a way that is sustainable and that minimises the industry’s environmental footprint”, said Arash Ashouriha, Chairman of the NGMN Alliance Board and SVP Group Technology at Deutsche Telekom. “I am proud that the mobile industry has come together – in NGMN – to share best practice and enable the whole industry to address this vitally important issue “, he added. #ngmn #wemakebetterconnections #greenfuturenetworks #sustainability #content #exchange #telecommunication #telecoms #telecoms #collaboration

Another great interview #ConnectedBritain with our Director of Fibre and Streetscape at Boldyn Networks, Jamie Hayes. Jamie talked to Total Telecom about: 1. The connectivity landscape in the UK from a neutral host perspective. 2. Boldyn's current work with 11 out of the 32 London boroughs to get Gigabit fibre available as 48% of London is without Gigabit fibre. 3. Making the London underground safer and greener by getting more people to use the Tube once they have a mobile phone connection. 4. The correlation between connectivity and social inclusion, digital inclusion and carbon emissions. Curious? Watch the full interview here: https://bit.ly/3Fquupa

Looking forward to joining the #fiberconnect2023 crowd on Monday to deliver the keynote address and introduce so many key industry stakeholders to the work of the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council. Access to fast reliable internet is no longer a “nice to have” but an essential service to connect to work, school, healthcare and many other aspects of today’s web-based services. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provided $65b to move the nation towards universal service. It’s my job to make sure that the federal permitting process isn’t an obstacle to delivering critical services to those who need them most. https://lnkd.in/ecuWy9Mx
