adding your hostname (client.example.com) to the /etc/sysconfig/network file isn't the recommended approach on most modern Linux distributions. Here's why and what to do instead: Reasoning: While some older Linux versions used /etc/sysconfig/network for hostname configuration, this method is becoming less common. Modern distributions often rely on the /etc/hostname file or the hostnamectl command for hostname management.
