Dear Filmmakers, Today, I am writing to you not just as the CEO of UVT Cinemas Pvt Ltd, but as a fellow dreamer and believer in the transformative power of cinema. It's time to bring the change, to be the change that our industry has been yearning for. In the realm of storytelling, we often find ourselves weaving narratives of courage, resilience, and triumph over adversity. Today, I urge you to step into these shoes, to be the heroes of a real-world narrative that is waiting to unfold. Our Indian film industry, known for its vibrancy and diversity, is standing at a crossroads. It's time to rewrite the script, to reshape the very ecosystem that fuels our dreams. We've all witnessed the remarkable power of the common people in recent weeks. Their collective energy and unity have shown us that change is possible, that transformation is within our grasp. The performance of films in single cinemas, against all odds, has been nothing short of remarkable. These cinemas, these spaces that connect stories to hearts, have a vital role in our industry's narrative. And it's time we revive them. As reported by The Times Of India on Sunday, August 27, 2023, the need for revival is evident, and it's an urgency we cannot ignore. UVT - D2T, with its unwavering commitment to transformation, has delved deep into the challenges that led to the closure of these single cinemas. But we haven't stopped at identifying the problems; we've forged a path toward a solution. D2T isn't just a technology; it's a revolution waiting to unfold. It's the gateway to revival, to breathing life back into these closed cinemas and rekindling the magic of the big screen. What is D2T, you ask? It's a groundbreaking technology that eliminates the barriers of Virtual Print Fees (VPF) and Content Delivery Charges (CDC). It empowers you, the filmmakers, to be your own integrator. It's about autonomy, creative freedom, and financial empowerment. With D2T, you can directly deliver your films to theatres, connecting with audiences in ways that were once unthinkable. It's about embracing change, about standing up for the single cinemas that are the beating heart of our industry. D2T's process is seamless and secure, utilizing the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to ensure unmatched content security. It's a transformation that the industry has been waiting for, a transformation that you can be a part of. So, my fellow dreamers, the time is now. Let's be the change that rejuvenates our industry, that revitalizes the single cinemas and propels us into a new era of storytelling. Let's harness the power of technology to create a wave of revival, a wave that resonates from single cinemas to the hearts of common people across the nation. With profound hope and unshakeable determination, Kumaar Aadarsh CEO, UVT Cinemas Pvt Ltd

2021 REALTOR® of The Year Atlanta REALTORS®,Green Designated REALTOR®,C2EX,AHWD (At Home With Diversity®) Certified REALTOR®, Atlanta Area, Ellijay and Blue Ridge
Just another reason to expect continued real estate growth in the Atlanta area. While much of the film industry is currently on strike, production is big business and has continued to bring employment and "cool factor" to Atlanta. Atlanta and the state of Georgia boast the worlds busiest airport (for better or worse), the largest nuclear power plant in the United States (Vogtle) and one of the largest and busiest ports in the US at Savannah/Brunswick. Businesses flock to Georgia for its business friendly environment and Georgia is becoming a leader in the auto and green manufacturing industries. Natural disasters are less common than in other areas, the climate is moderate (most of the time) and the ecosystems are diverse. You can even drive to the beach in a short period of time. Look for continued growth in the region, state and city in the coming years. #atlantrealestate #realestategrowth #fastgrowing #economics #realtor #greenrealtor
Roll out the red carpet - Georgia's film and television industry produced $4.1 billion in direct spend in fiscal year 2023! The state is a leading destination in the world for filming, thanks to factors like a robust workforce, diverse filming locations, and exponential infrastructure growth. Private sector investment in studios and new soundstage space has made Georgia the No. 2 state in the country for soundstage square footage. The creation of the Georgia Film Office 50 years ago, and the decades of investment that followed, have made Georgia a powerhouse in the entertainment industry. The benefits can be felt across the entire state as productions boost local economies through hotel nights, spending at small businesses, and encouraging film tourism. Sanity not Vanity: Good to see actions being taken to root out the #cinema deadwood. Harsh words, but the market needs to make tough and rational decisions that cannot now be ignored. From 2002 to 2019 a total of 1,400 screens (+44%) were added across the UK, which only added 0.1% to admissions totals or 110 annual admits per additional screen by 2019, highlighting a significant disconnect in the UK between consumer demand and total screen supply that pre-dates the pandemic, and will now impact the cinema sector #sustainability and #cinema recovery post-pandemic, that is further accentuated by the prolonged impact of the strikes. Marathon not a Sprint to Recovery. #leisurepropertyESS

The slower periods ("dump months" as the interviewer termed them) have gotten a whole lot better in recent years – heck, we're looking at BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE in September being one of the biggest movies of the year. However, late August and September in cinema are slow, as are January and usually April. And yes, like hurricane season, we at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema know it's coming, and we prepare. These are the months where we intentionally bank some of our strongest repertory, alt content, and first run specialty programming, so that we can get the absolute most out of that timeframe. • We launched a BOTTOMS-inspired rep series that was just one part of the campaign behind the movie that was our #1 title in September 2023 even though it was only #14 for the industry • We built out an incredibly successful complete retrospective series focusing on Stanley Kubrick • First Run Specialty Czar Jake Isgar worked closely with two of our favorite studios for re-releases of films they'd picked up – A24 and STOP MAKING SENSE, and Neon with OLDBOY • Jenny Nulf oversaw an incredible double feature series curated by filmmaker Nia DaCosta • Our hard-working Events team (Bridget Garraway and Lauren Weaver) continued their stream of massively popular movie party screenings, including JURASSIC PARK, THE MUMMY, and more If we're only ever playing the biggest first run films or the 'hits', we're missing out on growing and sustaining a film-loving audience that demand a diverse and satisfying film slate. They're the audience that we rely on in the slower time periods, and who help us stand out on the films that we think are important – for instance, at Alamo Drafthouse, Yorgos Lanthimos' POOR THINGS performed about the same as Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour. #cinemacon #film #boxoffice

🎥 **Celebrating 'Nosso Sonho' and Reflecting on Industry Challenges** I wanted to take a moment to discuss the recent release of 'Nosso Sonho' in Brazil and shed light on an issue that has long plagued our local film industry. This is a movie that I've been part of it since it was just an idea. I've been anxiously waiting for the world to see it. 'Nosso Sonho' tells the inspiring story of a funk duo in Brazil who grew up in a shanty town. It's a narrative that deeply resonates with a significant portion of our population, and its initial reception was overwhelmingly positive. However, I'm disheartened to share that during its second week in theaters, the film faced a staggering setback. programming by theaters was drastically reduced, losing 25% of cinemas and a staggering 70% of showtimes. This decision seems counterintuitive, especially when the first week was marked by such significant success. The release strategy had been carefully crafted to align with a special pricing week nationwide, aimed at making the film accessible to lower-income audiences. everyone believed in the power of this story to connect with hearts and minds across the nation. What troubles me is the programming decision to provide an extra week for 'Paw Patrol,' which doesn't align with the film's target audience or to support successful local productions. This issue is not isolated to 'Nosso Sonho'—it's a systemic challenge faced by many domestic films. Unlike some regions where there are quotas and limits on screens for local productions, our local industry operates in a different environment. We don't have the same safeguards in place to ensure that our homegrown talent gets the recognition it deserves. This issue isn't unique to Brazil; it's a concern shared across our region, where local voices often find themselves sidelined in favor of international releases. As advocates for our local film industry, we need to raise awareness about these challenges and work towards creating a more equitable environment for Brazilian productions. Our stories deserve to be heard, and our talent deserves to shine on the big screen. Let's come together to support 'Nosso Sonho' and all the incredible Brazilian films that deserve a chance to thrive. Together, we can help shape the future of our industry and ensure that our voices continue to resonate both at home and on the global stage. #NossoSonho #BrazilianCinema #SupportLocalFilms #FilmIndustry #Equity #BrazilianTalent #Cinema 🎬
