This is one of my first dream come true. Sharing about my experience with a game franchise that I have been following for more than 15 years. Although the Call of Duty franchise has always been a hit or miss, this had few goods in it. This is also me writing my first game review. Hope to see some feedback in the comments Read the full review down below. #MW3 #callofduty #gamereview

Can you be sad about people dying when you've never met them? But... I kind of feel like I knew Murayama-san a little. I think I get what he thought about big stuff like politics, war, being brave, friends, true loss, and sticking together despite the odds. I think I understand his love for telling stories and how much he liked video games. Part because of him and his team at Konami, and because of the first two Suikoden games (Suikoden II is one of my favorite games of all time), I also love stories and video games. And I think that through the games, I learned a thing or two about the themes he cared about. Games do have things to tell. It's naïve to think otherwise. But that's not their main purpose: games should make us have fun. Fun with friends. Fun with ourselves. Let our imaginations free. Let our feelings be free. Help us learn the important stuff by ourselves without someone having to spell it out for us. "As the creators, we've left plenty of room for your imagination to run wild, so make use of your imagination and enjoy yourself! That's the biggest thing I ask of players". Goodbye, Murayama-san. I never met you, but I am sure we'll get to truly feel your love for games in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.

Fallout 4 is the top game in Europe right now. Perfect time to revisit my redux-review of the game from last year… Fallout 4 *might* be my favourite of the franchise. And here’s my prediction: people playing it now for the first time in years will be blown away by how well it has aged. Great to see Fallout back on people’s minds. It’s the best. https://lnkd.in/g2gpsXyX
Perspective | ‘Fallout 4’ has aged beautifully. You should play it again.

Traveling?: https://ift.tt/0o8Xf7d Exciting news for Witcher fans! CD Projekt Red has just shared some new details about the highly anticipated next game in the franchise, codenamed Polaris. With over 250 developers now working on it, the team is growing rapidly. While the recent investor presentation primarily focused on Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt revealed that a significant portion of the team will transition to Polaris once the Phantom Liberty expansion releases in September. Although not much is known about the game itself, CD Projekt previously stated that it would mark the beginning of a new saga for the Witcher series. Considering the scale of the project, we can expect it to launch no earlier than 2025. In the meantime, CD Projekt has several other Witcher-related games in the pipeline, including Project Sirius and a main sequel for Cyberpunk 2077. So we have this situation where Stellar Blade, a Sony-published game, the very first made by its creating studio, reviews pretty well and is of proper AAA scale. But it only sold a couple millions, not meeting sales expectations and casting plans for a sequel in jeopardy. The age of content over abundance in which we live means that the methods of old a future-conscious platform holder such as Sony could have employed likely would fall flat. While before giveaways and massive price cuts might have helped jumpstart interest in the franchise and prop a sequel for success, nowadays, that would just make it one sale among many, one game among many, or one more game dropping in people’s libraries in exchange of no direct spend at that point in time. This is the landscape. Even giving away an actually good AAA game to propel a franchise might be an unnoticed move. And I think for so long as we, as an industry, and mostly the biggest actors in it, will think that’s ok, we’ll be struggling.

Pikmin 4 review 2023: a real-time strategy game: Nintendo’s games and franchises have always had a strange place for Pikmin. It was made by Shigeru Miyamoto, who is also the father of Mario and Zelda. This means that Nintendo is proud of it, but it has never been as popular as his other games.
