Florida experienced a significant decline in active voters, particularly impacting Democrats, with over 1 million fewer active voters in 2024 compared to the previous year. This drop is attributed to new laws expediting the process of moving active voters to the inactive list. The change in voter status is seen as a result of Governor Ron DeSantis and the Republican-controlled Legislature's policies, raising concerns among voting rights activists. Republicans, who tend to be older, saw a smaller reduction in active voters, potentially affecting Democrats negatively in upcoming elections. The reduction in active voters could be viewed as an additional burden imposed by Governor DeSantis and the Republican-controlled Legislature, potentially impacting Democratic voter turnout negatively. The changes in voter maintenance could be seen as necessary adjustments to ensure accurate voter rolls, with Republicans facing a smaller reduction due to their older and more reliably active voter base. Relational voting revolutionizes civic engagement by harnessing personal connections to empower communities. Unlike traditional methods that rely on mass communication, relational voting leverages your trusted relationships—friends, family, and neighbors—to encourage voter participation. This approach builds trust, addresses individual concerns, and removes barriers to voting, fostering a more inclusive electoral process. By tapping into your community networks, relational voting not only boosts voter turnout but also strengthens community bonds and promotes ongoing civic engagement beyond elections. It's a pivotal strategy for empowering you to shape your future and amplify your collective voice in democratic processes. To streamline this powerful approach, we developed the Civil Action App. Designed for nonprofits and civic organizations, you can customize based on organization needs, personalize outreach efforts, manage voter engagement campaigns, and empower ambassadors within your community, making voter participation more accessible and impactful than ever before. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Y'all! Watch/Listen to what Tucker and his guests had to say about the floundering DeSantis campaign: https://lnkd.in/gUB-YhYR credit: The Post Millennial (@TPostMillennial) on X WE TOLD YOU SO!!! The DeSantis Presidential campaign is theoretically over. On our April 25, 2023, #YCMTSU episode, we stated that the campaign was over before it started. The list of systemic failures include terribly executed launch on X (Twitter), poor campaign consultation, contracting out the campaign to a super PAC, woke messaging, far right ideology, taking L's in Florida courts, and an unlikable candidate. Our greatest disappointment was the fact that we anticipated a spirited and competitive challenge to Trump/MAGA by the DeSantis campaign. We got none of it. However, this does not let the Democrats, especially in Florida, off the hook. We caution the Democrats on what they need to do to start winning. With the Florida GOP mired in scandal and disarray, Florida Democrats have ANOTHER opportunity to become relevant again. Enjoy our early Christmas gift to You! - David Agree or disagree with what we said? Please share your comments with us to continue the conversation or DM us on our socials. As we enter the 2024 presidential election cycle, voters in key battleground states will decide the direction of the country. In addition to the economy, the election will be determined based on the electorate's views on a number of contentious issues that have deep implications for our society. Today we are pleased to announce that Perceptual Advisors LLC Advisors will contribute to this national dialogue through the launch of our Issues Advertising & Advocacy Practice, which will be led by David Grae. We were introduced to David through our partner and friend Mathew Littman, who leads the firm's Government Relations & Public Affairs Practice. Based in Los Angeles, David is an acclaimed television producer. He was an Executive Producer and writer for all six seasons on CBS’s hit show Madam Secretary. He started his television-writing career as a staff writer on the Emmy-nominated Joan of Arcadia. David has also been a writer/producer on network hits Without a Trace, Gilmore Girls, and Castle, where he was also an Executive Producer. David began his work in issues advocacy during the 2022 Congressional midterm elections, where he brought his dramatic and storytelling skills to political ads. David wrote and produced the iconic spot “Lock Her Up” (focused on the abortion issue, not Hillary Clinton). The ad, which was made for Congressman Eric Swalwell, went viral generating millions of views on social media, creating $23 million in ad equivalency, per Bloomberg. The ad was also featured on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and MSNBC’s The Reid Out with Joy Reid, and it was also cut into a 60-second spot that ran in swing districts in Michigan. David's most recent ad premiered July 2023, highlighting state government overreach into other areas of personal privacy. To bring this new practice area to the market with end-to-end creative and production capabilities, David will partner with Hal Brice, Perceptual Advisors LLC's Chief Brand Strategy Officer, who has produced more than 7,000 broadcast spots during his career. Hal is no stranger to issues advertising---he previously contributed media strategy and buying for the successful passage of the California Children and Families Act (Prop 10) which has funded early childhood and development through First Five California programs. While Perceptual Advisors LLC Advisors is a non-partisan firm, we intend to deploy our resources, expertise and intellectual capital on issues that align with our values and culture.
