Little known fact: I got my start in theater.
And that foundation informs so much of the way I navigate the working world. I prioritize creativity, collaboration, and--importantly--convening.
Gathering together in a room, sharing spaces and experiences--this is what makes theater so magical and impactful. I love the electricity of it, and though I’ve left the theater world, I still seek out the feeling.
Jobs for the Future (JFF)'s Impact Employer Summit is where I see the collective power of convening come through with a force. Each year, we bring together a passionate, engaged group of leaders from top employers across the country. Over the course of a day, they cultivate connection, creativity, and new ideas around what it means to invest in the wellbeing and economic potential of their workforce. There’s a momentum that resonates long after we leave the room.
We unlock fuller potential when we gather this way—and I can’t wait to do it again this summer. And there's much to look forward to. Our team of designers is building a day that responds to the unique urgency and opportunity employers face today. Our guest list will feature 75 leaders from a diverse set of companies - Walmart, McDonald's, JPMorgan Chase & Co., LinkedIn, Delta Air Lines, Best Buy, Amazon, Bank of America, General Motors, Old Navy, to name a few. Companies will dig deep on what's happening (and what to avoid) when it comes to some of the hottest topics facing our field, like how to foster inclusive career mobility in the age of skills-first & gen AI; cultivating and acting on employee voice; building a culture of inclusion and belonging; and strategies to stick to this work when the going gets tough.
