This piece really put into perspective how far we have come when it comes to internet advertising, while also providing insight into the future of AdTech. Many tech companies that struggled in the 1990s were innovative but did not have the business fundamentals to back up their valuations. This is what led to the consolidation of internet advertising and the landscape we have today. For new firms in the space, the lessons from the 90s still remain relevant.
