As we celebrate LGBT History Month, it's important to remember that inclusivity is a year-round commitment and not just an opportunity for virtue signalling. Whether that's through clearer anti-discrimination policies, improved staff training, or a drive for more diverse recruitment, long term commitments are required. 💥 We should be using this time to reflect, challenge our biases, and implement policies that foster a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. #InclusiveCulture #LGBTEquality #DiversityAndInclusion

Diversity is a critical element in any organization, but is it only about male to female ratio? The answer is no. To accomplish CSR tasks, companies should also consider the Transgender and LGBT community. They are equally competent and talented but face significant harassment due to their natural gifts. It is high time for us to hire them, respect them, and utilize their hidden skill sets. What's your view? Let's work together to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace. #Diversity #Transgender #LGBT #Inclusion #Equity What’s your view ?

🏳️🌈 As the month long celebration of LGBT History Month comes to a close, it's a pivotal time to spotlight the transformative power of LGBT inclusion in the business world. 🙌 Diversity isn't just about ticking boxes - it's about enriching our workplaces with varied perspectives and experiences that drive innovation and success. From my own experiences as a proud gay man and with influential mentors like the Rt Hon. Justine Greening and Nick Forbes CBE, the message for me is clear: visibility and representation at all levels matter. It's about affirming that success is achievable, regardless of who you are or who you love. 🤝 Purpose-led employers are at the forefront of this change, recognising that true pride extends beyond a month-long celebration. It's woven into the fabric of their culture, driving employee engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty. But more than that, it's about active commitment—listening, adapting, and ensuring every voice not only is heard but leads to meaningful action. 💪 Our diversity is our strength, and it's time we fully leverage it to break down barriers and foster an inclusive, equitable future for all. 🗞 More thoughts in my latest blog for Fit For Purpose here: https://lnkd.in/eJ2ikSsX #LGBTHistoryMonth #DiversityAndInclusion #PrideInBusiness #AuthenticSelves #PurposeLed

🫣 More than a third of LGBT staff (35%) have hidden that they are LGBT at work for fear of discrimination. 🗣️ Almost one in five LGBT staff (18%) have been the target of negative comments or conduct from work colleagues because they’re LGBT. 🛡️ In more than half the world, LGBT people may not be protected from discrimination by workplace law. 💰Results from a survey suggests that the LGBT pay gap is around 16% (Sources: Stonewall, The Independent) Pride Month is about celebrating our communities and the progress made towards equality, whilst also recognising there is still a way to go. At Finyx we treat all our employees with respect, regardless of background and demographics, and continue to work on ensuring inclusion is part of our day to day so that everyone can feel comfortable bringing their full selves to work. *The Q on LGBTQ+ has been left out to maintain accuracy of the above findings, however we recognise it within the acronym

⚡️🌈 The energy sector continues to fall behind other industries on the Stonewall Index, suggesting there's more to be done by organisations and individuals to foster a more inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ colleagues. ⚡️🌈 See our post below for some ideas on how you as an individual can support LGBTQ+ people in your day-to-day work and personal lives!
🌈 ⚡️Only 21% of people believe that organisations in the energy sector provide an inclusive environment for LGBT+ people ⚡️🌈 Whilst there has undoubtedly been progress made, data from the most recent Pride in Energy Survey suggests that there is more work to be done to embrace LGBT+ inclusion across the sector. With 14% of LGBT+ individuals in the sector being victim to or witnessing discriminatory behaviour in the past year, and 10% of people believing that their employer does not foster an inclusive environment, the sector needs to do more. At Moorhouse, we recently ran our LGBT+ allyship training course, which 100% of the energy sector leadership attended. It was a great session and we wanted to share our top tips to help create a workplace where everyone feels comfortable bringing their true selves to work. Read more below and feel free to contact Danielle Hill and Lewis McKenzie if you'd like to discuss. #Pride #Inclusion

1moI have an old account I had years ago still active. I am receiving alerts 🔔 for positions according to Zip Recruiter I applied for but didn’t. I changed my pw clearing out my history and cookies. Did ZipRecruiter have any data leaks? One was @AvantiCorp I have never heard of in Costa Mesa. Is there anything else ZipRecruiter users should be doing to protect their accounts?
