Rachel Maddow and Joy Behar Fret Trump Will Target Them, Take The View Off the Air: ‘I Don’t Think Anyone’s Safe’

Joy Behar said on Tuesday she’s concerned Donald Trump could pull The View off the air during a second term just as Rachel Maddow declared no one will be “safe.”

Maddow joined The View on Tuesday and she and Behar openly fretted about being targeted in a second term. Maddow previously said she is “worried” Trump could put her and other critics in a “camp.”

Behar said critics took Maddow’s fears as “overdramatic,” but she does not, predicting Trump could find a way to target The View and Maddow through their sponsors.

“I’m right there with you. I think that he is so vindictive that he will go after [his critics] however he has to, whether it’s through the IRS maybe, or even through sponsors to get us off the air maybe or you. How seriously should we be taking that?” she asked.

Maddow said she’s concerned about everyone under a second Trump term, saying, “I don’t think anyone is safe.”

“I think it’s bad having somebody saying give me as much power as you can in this country so I can use it to go after other Americans, so I can use it to go after these subhuman internal enemies and destroy them. That’s just not a good system,” she said.

The MSNBC host accused Trump of terrorizing individual critics, but predicted she and Behar would be “fine” if they happen to make an “enemies list” for Trump.

“If he decides he’s going to go after you or me or anybody who is well known, we have resources, we’ll likely be fine, but I think there’s a pattern where he picks out individual people and effectively terrorizes them,” she said.
