Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) ripped Vice President Kamala Harris as the dumbest second in command in the country’s history Friday night during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Jackson was commenting on a hypothetical scenario in which President Joe Biden was to step down and Harris was to be placed at the top of the ticket when he went after the VP and former California senator.
The scenario in question was set up by Hannity, who raised a question about Biden’s cognitive abilities and asked the former White House physician under former Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump to weigh in on the matter.
“Even before the 2020 election, I was able to unearth quotes of you on the record pointing out Joe’s cognitive decline. Like me, you took a lot of heat for pointing out what was transparent, clear, and obvious to anybody with eyes that can see,” Hannity said.
The host added, “Now, since then, I think you have been more than proven right. Where does it stand today?”
Jackson responded that in his opinion, Biden’s mental state had deteriorated since he first began to comment on the then-candidate’s condition.
“I think everyone is seeing what we saw early on,” Jackson said. “And [Biden’s allies] knew it, too. Don’t kid yourself.”
Jackson opined that in his estimation, the country would be in the same position whether Biden – who said is compromised – or Harris were leading the country.
“They knew this man had issues early on as well they covered it up,” Jackson claimed. “And that’s why I don’t think it matters at this particular point if [Biden] backs out or not and she becomes the nominee. Like you said, she has got a double-digit [unintelligible]. She has got to be the lowest IQ vice president that this country has ever had.”
Jackson went on to predict that Trump would win the 2024 election “regardless of whether it is Biden or Harris” running for president.
“Maybe there is a point or two difference here or there. But they all ran on Biden’s broken policies that destroyed this country,” Jackson concluded.
Jackson, Hannity, and other conservatives have commented on Biden’s cognitive state for some time but discussions on the topic have ramped up since the president’s poor debate performance last month against Trump in Atlanta.
During the debate, Biden at times appeared confused, bewildered, and often misspoke. He has acknowledged it was not his most shining moment and blamed his mental state during the forum on jet lag.
