The film plays out like it might be preparing us to let go of its big-name legacy leads.
While it's stronger on gunplay and horseplay than plot, this is a solid entry for BB fans.

It’s a thin tapestry of lore with some interesting creative embellishments, but without any real interest in character, it feels flimsy and disposable. You could do worse, but you could certainly do better.
The downside to all this is that it reminds us that video games tend to manage cleaner storytelling than the makers of Bad Boys: Ride or Die do. The film plays as a muddle of set pieces – some impressive, most unintelligible – that fail to form any kind of coherent line. One almost longs for Bay’s return. His satanic mayhem at least had a consistency to it.
The fourth film of a franchise that probably should have packed it in at least two movies ago, this by-the-numbers sequel offers absolutely nothing unexpected, starting with its opening beaches-and-bikinis montage to the climactic standoff with the villain.
It’s been a looooooooooong time since I had fun watching a movie. Reminds me of the golden age, the good old days, the 1990-2015 era when you had a boatload of great movies

The worst part of the whole movie is that banter between Lawrence and Smith just doesn't work. It's not funny, it's forced. It's mostly gross.
Especially what Lawrence does in this movie. Smith acts like this is a favour to his friend so he tries to endure.
In terms of story and characters this movie feels like a Steven Seagal movie from the nineties. It's full of cliche's, it's completely predictable (it's a replay of everything we've already seen), the whole premise is soooo naive and poorly written (Can you log into my Ring?Yeah, we have VPN and a router. - Jeeeeezaaaas!!). The whole main plot is just so goddamn idiotic, that it just hurts.
Cinematography is inconsistent - for a while this wants to be a music clip, then a game, then an action movie. A few shots are interesting, but that's just too little.
I'd let this franchise go to rest.

An AI could have crafted a better script. Additionally, it's challenging to watch anything featuring Will Smith without getting uncomfortable vibes. If you have absolutely nothing to watch, you could let this run in the background, but I wouldn't pay too much attention. Very little to see here.
