The good news: Daniel and Johnny are working together. The bad news: They still act like man-children about it. And Kreese is determined to beat them, so he recruits his old comrade Terry Silver to assist.
Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka): Johnny has his hands full as he tries to patch things up with Daniel, while hiding his blossoming relationship with Carmen from her son — and his student — Miguel. Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio): Though he agrees to work with Johnny, Daniel struggles with Johnny’s approach to karate. Amanda LaRusso (Courtney Henggeler): With Sam still suffering after the school fight, her mother takes it upon herself to make sure Tory finally backs off. Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña): Miguel is happy in his renewed relationship with Sam... but also a little uncomfortable with his ex, Tory, getting close to his rival, Robby. Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan): Shunning both Daniel and Johnny, Robby devotes all of his attention to Cobra Kai. Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser): Sam still can’t quite get over the traumatizing fight with Tory. She also doesn’t love that her foe has set her sights on Robby. John Kreese (Martin Kove): Determined to take down Johnny and Daniel, Kreese pulls every move possible to win the tournament. Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz (Jacob Bertrand): Now that Hawk’s found a new crew in Eagle Fang, the Cobra Kai kids aren’t so happy that he defected. Tory Nichols (Peyton List): Hell hath no fury like a young woman scorned, and Tory is still pissed she lost Miguel to Sam. So, she decides to make her ex and his new girlfriend miserable by pursuing Sam’s ex, Robby. Carmen Diaz (Vanessa Rubio): Carmen struggles to figure out when to tell Miguel she’s dating his mentor, Johnny.
Cobra Kai dojo: Now run by Kreese and Terry Silver. Miyagi-Do dojo: The common ground where Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang students train.
Daniel and Johnny train their respective students in the ways of both Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang. Naturally, the two men can only keep the peace for so long, and struggle to respect each other’s methods.
Sam and Miguel are back together and happy, which drives their exes, Robby and Tory, a bit crazy. Robby and Tory, who now work together at Cobra Kai, get closer, and Tory suggests they go to prom together. Because nobody in this show is capable of using their words, a fight between the quad breaks out at the dance.
With Sam still struggling to move on from Tory’s brutal attack, her mother decides Tory needs to be stopped. Unfortunately, Amanda accidentally assists in getting Tory fired from her job — which she needs to support her family — and it only makes Tory madder.
At the All-Valley tournament — remember, Kreese has agreed to leave Cobra Kai if his team loses — Miguel gets reinjured during his fight. Hawk and Robby face off in the finals for the boys, and Hawk scores the victory for Miyagi-Do. It all comes down, point-wise, to the girls, as Tory and Sam go head-to-head. Before the duo fight, Amanda finally reaches Tory and convinces her not to fight dirty. During the battle, Tory accidentally elbows Sam and wins. Cobra Kai wins the tournament. Daniel makes it his mission to end Cobra Kai once and for all.
Johnny and Carmen continue their relationship, but struggle to figure out when they should tell Miguel the truth. The decision ends up being out of their hands when he figures it out on his own. But with Miguel’s injury and his general uncertainty about his life, he decides to sneak away in order to finally meet his father. But after discovering Miguel is missing, Carmen confesses to Johnny that Miguel’s father doesn’t know he exists.
6. Terry Silver and Kreese butt heads as they try to manage Cobra Kai. When Terry realizes that Johnny is Kreese’s weakness, he sympathizes, though, because he says Kreese is his own weakness. Terry, deciding he has no time for flaws, sets Kreese up for a crime he didn’t commit, and Kreese is arrested.
How will Miguel’s father react to the news that he has a son? What will it take for Miguel to return home?
Will anyone bother to save Kreese from this set-up? Or is he doomed to rot in jail because no one cares about him?
Can the high schoolers be trusted anywhere without starting a fight?
Will Cobra Kai ever be defeated?
Is there any way this Tory versus Sam rivalry will finally end?
