So, you wanna be a player, but your wheels still aren’t fly? It’s time to hit up Resurrected Rides, an upcoming motor makeover series from the original producers of Pimp My Ride.
Resurrected Rides fuses the early-aughts magic of the beloved MTV series with modern automotive artistry to help deserving owners transform their beloved beaters into roadworthy masterpieces. Comedian and actor Chris Redd (Saturday Night Live, Disjointed), along with his team of next-level mechanics, will oversee the jaw-dropping modifications from start to finish.
“We took an iconic concept and gave it a fresh twist, all while helping people along the way,” Redd tells Tudum. “Plus, we got to roast, prank, and even ‘steal’ folks’ cars on a show budget! This show truly has it all!”
“This is an aspirational and wish-fulfillment show with a comedic lens, and we’re excited to give deserving folks a mind-blowing automotive makeover,” says executive producer Ari Shofet. “We took the spirit and knowledge from the original [series] and reimagined it with a hilarious host, brand-new cast, plus the eye-popping technology and culture of today,” adds executive producer Rick Hurvitz, who also produced Pimp My Ride with Shofet.
