Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Daphne Kwon is NPR's Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.

Kwon is an experienced finance executive who has served in key leadership roles at several major media organizations. She was Chief Strategy Officer at Meredith, a publicly-traded media conglomerate best known for titles like People and Entertainment Weekly. She also held CFO and business development positions at Oxygen Media and Disney/ABC respectively. Most recently she was General Manager at Flipside Crypto, a tech company providing analytics to cryptocurrency organizations.

As Chief Strategy Officer of Meredith Corporation — a multiplatform media company that included iconic brands such as PEOPLE, Better Homes & Gardens, and 17 broadcast television stations across the country — Kwon led the company's strategic agenda, with a focus on growing the company's digital activities.

Before her time at Meredith, Kwon was part of the founding team at Betaworks Studios as President. She was CFO of Goop, where she tripled revenue through the launch of ecommerce, digital sponsorship, and Goop-label beauty, publishing and apparel products. She was also Oxygen Media's first CFO and grew the company's revenue to $150 million, including substantial contributions from digital and cable businesses. During her time as Director of Business Development at Disney, Kwon launched several new digital television networks.

Kwon earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA from the University of Michigan.
