SI Swimsuit Model Christen Harper & Jared Goff Get Married

It's not a bad time to be Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff. 

The 29-year-old, who recently signed a new contract that will pay him $170 million guaranteed, locked down his Sports Illustrated swimsuit model girlfriend Christen Harper with a wedding ring over the weekend at the Ojai Valley Inn Farm House in Ojai, California. 

Based on social media photos shared from the wedding, this one wasn't your typical blowout affair with 500 people partying their asses off. Let's call it intimate. Andrew Whitworth posted photos from the festivities and it appears Goff hit the lottery with Harper because this wedding was a classy, low-key affair with close friends and family. 

Goff's stud wide receiver in Detroit, Amon-Ra St. Brown, was at the wedding, but he stayed quiet on social media. I'm telling you guys, this was one of the more classy, stay off social media, keep it quiet weddings you're going to see from the NFL. 

Katie Austin, the daughter of legendary fitness instructor Denise Austin, served as a bridesmaid. She kept things classy and seemed to abide by a social media embargo. Austin didn't dump content onto Instagram Story until Monday afternoon.

It would've been easy for Harper to invite 100 SI Swimsuit models and their dates. Goff has played eight NFL seasons. He's had thousands of teammates over the years. Instead of blowing out the budget, these two showed restraint. 

If you're a Lions fan, you have to love this out of your franchise quarterback. We're 30 days away from training camp. The last thing Goff needed was a stressful wedding and the hangover that comes from the huge wedding reception and the blowout honeymoon before six months of trying to get the Lions over the hump and into the Super Bowl. 

And you have to credit Harper here as well. 

Imagine how hard it must've been to keep this wedding classy and simple. She knows the money was there to throw a banger, one for the ages that NFL families talk about for years to come. 

You're looking at a married couple that knows their franchise is +1200 to win the Super Bowl. They're locked in. Lions fans are locked in. The division is there for the taking. Home-field advantage is within reach. 

Mr and Mrs. Goff just treated their wedding as a business decision and Detroit should have goosebumps over their professionalism. 

Buckle up. The Goffs are clearly on a mission in 2024.
