About the Host

Tina Lasisi, Ph.D., is a science communicator, content creator, and a postdoctoral researcher at University of Southern California. As an anthropologist, Lasisi explores hair shape and skin pigmentation, providing insights into the genetic architecture and evolutionary history of racialized traits. Her research been featured on podcast platforms, including NPR’s Short Wave, and Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness. Lasisi aims to break down common misconceptions about how our body works.
