Jemima is a supporting character in Cats. The youngest kitten, her innocence and compassion plays an important role in Grizabella's search for acceptance. Jemima originated in the London production, but the same role was renamed Sillabub on Broadway so as to avoid any negative racial connotations. The most common makeup designs, as used in the Cats Video, are by Karen Dawson, who worked on many UK-based productions. Well, about a week ago yours truly was able to go see an off-broadway production of CATS! I will be turning 16 next week, so my wonderful grandparents treated my mom and I to a special weekend. We went shopping, out to lunch, saw CATs, went out to dinner, and then ended the perfect day at a lovely B and B. CATS was absolutley amazing.
