Stella Navarro-Kim on Instagram: "How to make carnitas the traditional way! Carnitas, which means “little meats” in Spanish, is a Mexican pork confit. It is the Mexican version of pulled pork, except it is slow cooked in lard for a crispy exterior and super tender & moist on the inside. This dish originated in the state of Michoacán, and every region has their own way of making it. My recipe isn’t particularly from any region- this is just how I like it, pulling ideas from the different ways it is made across Mexico. Aside from being super delicious and packed with flavor, a big reason why I love this dish is because it freezes really well! You can make large batches and freeze for easy weeknight dinners. It is also extremely versatile- the amount of dishes you can make with carnitas Mexico, Pork Confit, How To Make Carnitas, Pork Carnitas Recipe, Mexican Pork, Carnitas Recipe, Pork Carnitas, Oven Recipes, Easy Weeknight
