Vanna White Has Already Given Her Stamp of Approval for Her Future Wheel of Fortune Replacement

Vanna White isn’t ready to retire from Wheel of Fortune just yet. She just signed a lucrative new deal that will carry her into the 2025 television season and will bridge the gap between departing host, Pat Sajak, and incoming host, Ryan Seacrest. The 66-year-old TV star will still be turning those letters in her sparkly wardrobe, but she is already thinking about her future replacement. 

White believes she has the perfect person to step into her shoes when she’s done with the show: Pat’s 28-year-old daughter, Maggie Sajak. “I think she’s a good replacement if I can’t be there for some reason,” White told E! News. “She’s been around it her whole life, so I think she can fill in for me for sure.” Maggie is very familiar with the show since she is currently the social media correspondent for the long-running series. White also gushed about Maggie’s sweet personality noting,” “She’s precious, she’s beautiful, she’s very good,” Vanna raved of Maggie. “I think she learned a lot from her father because he’s such a good interviewer. I think she’s good for our show.”

Maggie’s father is exiting at the end of the current season and Seacrest will begin next fall. It’s a tough transition for White, who is trying to navigate the changes to the show. “There’s definitely sadness and it is absolutely bittersweet for me,” she said. “It’s going to be really hard for me after all these years.” However, White is looking forward to the energy that Seacrest will bring to Wheel of Fortune. The radio host already reassured her that he’s “not trying to replace Pat by any means,” so that brought her comfort. 

With White’s endorsement of Maggie becoming the second most famous letter-turner in the world, she might be setting the stage for the next generation of Wheel of Fortune viewers. A team of Maggie and Seacrest could be the future of the series, with White’s stamp of approval.
