Expert Claims Prince Harry Will Release a Second Memoir After This Royal Family Member’s Death

A lot was left on the cutting room floor during the editing process of Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare — even though it felt like the royal tell-all book, well, told it all. It turns out that there is still more about the inner workings of the royal family he wants to share, but experts believe it won’t be until his father, King Charles III, passes away.

“I do think he would write about his family again. He was waiting to publish a book after Queen Elizabeth died,” royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said on her podcast, Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered, per the Express. “Originally, they were saying there was going to be another publication after the late Queen died,” she added. Given how much more tension Spare added between the Sussexes and the royal family — and in light of King Charles’ ongoing treatment for cancer — it seems likely a follow-up will be postponed until a major familial shift occurs.

“I suspect that maybe he would release a book after his father passed away,” she continued, adding that if Prince William continues to “keep [Harry] at arm’s length,” a second book would be imminent.

The potential repercussions of such a move are significant, especially if Prince William maintains his current stance towards Harry. “Because what would the repercussions be if Prince William pushed you out of the fold?” the royal commentator asked. Prince Harry has also reportedly been having a difficult time keeping his inner circle close throughout the tension with his family.

Spare has sold millions of copies, with estimates suggesting that Harry has made up to $27 million from it as of April 2024. However, the book’s success has only further strained his relationship with his brother, Prince William, and other family members, notably Queen Camilla, whom Prince Harry repeatedly calls out in his memoir. In May 2024, when Prince Harry was briefly in the U.K., reports surfaced that he requested to meet with his ailing father, King Charles. However, he stipulated that Queen Camilla should not be present. His request was denied.

Only time will tell if Prince Harry decides to release another book following his father’s death. It seems like he is trying to connect with his father once again as King Charles battles cancer. Here’s hoping the two are able to find a way to meet in person and make some peace should the monarch’s health decline.
