Kim Kardashian’s Acting Career Is Getting a Boost From This Oscar-Winning Actress

If anyone thought Kim Kardashian‘s acting career was a fluke, it’s time to give in — Hollywood wants more from her. The Skims founder is going back to work with Ryan Murphy on a new Hulu legal drama, All’s Fair, and she has some serious A-list talent working with her. 

Joining Kardashian will be Oscar-winner Halle Berry and the Oscar-nominated Glenn Close. All of the women and Murphy will be executive producers on the project as well, so get ready for some potentially Emmy-winning work on the series. The story will take place in an “all-female law firm,” according to Deadline, with Murphy describing it as “a high-end, glossy and sexy adult procedural.”

This is a big leap in Kardashian’s entertainment industry career after her 2021 Saturday Night Live guest host gig propelled her to the scripted side of television. Sure, she had done roles in 2008’s Disaster Movie and 2018’s Ocean’s Eight, but no one seemed to take her seriously until her SNL stint. Since then, she made a solid turn on Murphy’s anthology American Horror Story: Delicate, and she has Netflix movie, The Fifth Wheel, an ensemble comedy, in the works. 

Kardashian is aligning herself with major Hollywood players, but she will only go so far for a role. On the June 20 episode of The Kardashians, she admitted that she feels like her acting career has a shelf life. “I can do a movie a year, I’ve got about 10 years where I still look good, so that’s all I’ve got in me and then I’ll take some time off … That’s my 10-year plan,” she shared while revealing that her cosmetic injectables are a nonnegotiable beauty item for her. “I feel like you need less Botox for more emotion, and I don’t have it. I’m not gonna be gaining 500 lbs. for a role… that’s not where I need to be. How am I gonna cry? How am I gonna be scared out of my mind?”

So, Kardashian clearly has a plan, but it might have a few conditions. It seems that she’s striking while the iron is hot, even though she “wasn’t planning on this career.” However, she’s ready to “welcome a challenge” and it looks like Murphy is giving her that opportunity.
