Paulina Gretzky and Dustin Johnson have finally revealed the name of their baby boy — and grandpa Wayne Gretzky totally approves of the name. She kept the Gretzky baby boy name tradition going by giving her son a cute name that starts with the letter “T.”

Paulina Gretzky, the daughter of hockey great Wayne Gretzky, and her fiancé, pro golfer Dustin Johnson, welcomed their first child on Jan. 19. The couple posted the picture above with Johnson later releasing a statement promising more details.
“Paulina and I are happy to announce the arrival of our baby boy, who was born in Los Angeles on Monday morning. Both Paulina and the baby are healthy, resting comfortably and in great spirits! We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received and plan to release further details in the coming days! Sincerely, Dustin,” he said in a statement.
Paulina later posted a picture of the sleeping baby with the name announcement. “So in love with my little boy. Tatum Gretzky Johnson,” she captioned the photo.

Paulina and Dustin decided to keep the Gretzky tradition of giving all the boys names that start with the letter “T,” which was started by Grandpa Wayne Gretzky.
Paulina’s brothers are named Trevor, Ty and Tristan. Paulina’s sister is named Emma — so apparently this tradition is only for the boys in the family.
Tatum is a name of English origin that means “brings joy” and is actually categorized as a girl name. The organization that keeps track of baby name popularity, the Social Security Administration, ranks the name as the 330th most popular girl name, but it doesn’t rank on the top 1,000 for boy names.
They aren’t the only parents to like this name for a boy, as country singer Luke Bryan also has a son named Tatum. In fact, many parents are starting to ignore the category of traditional “boy” or “girl” names, such as Ashton Kutcher who named his daughter Wyatt or the San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner.
