Drew Scott & Linda Phan Announce the Birth of Baby No. 2 & Reveal Her Meaningful, Musical Name

Baby Scott is here! Drew Scott and wife Linda Phan announced the birth of their second child today, and we couldn’t be happier for them. The Property Brothers star and Phan welcomed a baby girl to their family — and her name is absolutely perfect.

“Our family of 3 has become 4!” Scott, who also shares 2-year-old son Parker with Phan, wrote on Instagram today. “Piper Rae, I love you with all my heart ❤️.”

Piper Rae is adorable — and meaningful to the family. Not only does it go great with Parker (Parker and Piper?!), but also it has a musical origin. Piper is of British origin and means “pipe player” or “flute-playing musician.” Rae, on the other hand, is of Scottish origin and means “Grace.” Scott comes from Scottish heritage, and he often includes his family in their cultural traditions. In January, he and Parker wore matching brown kilts to celebrate Burns Day. According to HGTV, Scott and his twin brother Jonathan Scott both played competitive bagpipes as children. So it’s clear this name is very special indeed!

In the announcement, the Backed By The Bros star also included two pictures: one of him, Phan, and Parker’s hands reaching out to grab Piper’s tiny foot, and another of Piper resting her little baby hand on her mom’s, while Scott reaches out to grab his wife’s fingers.

Ant Anstead commented, “Oh wow! Huge congratulations you guys! Beaming for you all! 🥰❤️❤️❤️” Michelle Branch wrote, “👏👏👏 Congratulations.”

“Parker & Piper🫶🏼 so perfect!!! Congratulations! ❤️,” interior designer Kristen McGowan wrote.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, Scott shared with his twin that he is “absolutely less prepared” for his second baby on purpose. “I think it’s al true when people say for your first child you’re like over ready, you’ve read every book, you’ve had counseling, you talked to professionals. Then for the second child, you’re like, ‘I don’t need any of that.’ You realize it’s gonna work out.”

“You just give them lots of love and it’s gonna be perfect,” he added.
