Good fun. Bet they had a good time making it. It's very funny and surprisingly poignant.
Cheap and charming. Sad and funny. Great characters. Kind of like a Mike Leigh film by way of, "The Shape of Water." Not scary.
The earnestness in which this movie approaches its absolutely nonsensical premise gets 5 stars from me.
Shameless meets the Shape of Water through a Pride lens! look,I'm a brit so this kind of dryly delivered tomfoolery, when done right,is in my dna,& I have no qualms in declaring my deepfelt love of this film. Went into it because it was the right length to watch before heading up the wooden hill to Bed-fordshire,was engrossed within 10 minutes & had a silly, satisfied grin on my face when it finished🥴 I understand how some may have the poler opposite experience, but to me this is exactly the kind of film that i love to stumble across👍👍
Masterpiece.
