I’m hard to please but this was a good watch… I’d call it a creepy drama, unexpected and held my attention
(Movie TW: SA) Very well-done psychological thriller (not horror at all) with a rushed, confused ending. I gotta give it a 3 because, I mean, it had great acting, sound design, cinematography, characters, and compelling story, but, per usual in dark thrillers like this, it had an ending that felt like the writers ran out of time and didn’t know where they were going with the story anyway. The finale was, I think, completely unjustified. I’m mad because I actually liked the characters and was intrigued. But the “reveals” are hardly the disturbing twists they were made out to be, at least in the ways the director portrayed them to be. Almost as if the main antagonist wrote the ending. I liked most of it for what it was, but, if you’re wanting a disturbing horror movie, this dark drama ain’t it.
