In 2006, Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea, Young and Restless) made her All My Children debut as Annie Novak. But she had actually appeared on the show years prior. The actress told Soap Opera Digest in 2007, "I wasn’t a child actor. But I grew up in Westchester, an hour outside of the city, and I would audition every once in awhile and booked some things. I had auditioned for the young Bianca, like a year before – didn’t get it, obviously [Gina Gallagher did] — and had watched the show as a kid, like, ‘Oh, that’s the one I auditioned for!’ So I was excited about it. I totally remember sitting in the green room with all the other extras – and now, my dressing room is right across the hall. It’s just so funny how things come full circle.”

In 2012, Young and Restless’s Tucker (then-Stephen Nichols) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) agreed to sign divorce papers. The pair, who tied the knot in 2011, would go on to remarry in 2023, but that union was also short-lived.

In 2015, General Hospital's Lucky dropped by Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) with a major surprise: her back-from-the-dead son, Jake (then-James Nigbor). The little boy had been presumed dead after being the victim of a 2011 hit-and-run caused by a drunk-driving Luke, but he was discovered alive and (mostly) well, living on Cassadine Island, where Helena had stashed him.
