In 2004, Bold and Beautiful’s Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) wed for the fourth time. During the ceremony, the groom's twin daughters, Phoebe and Steffy, recited an original poem, and Ridge told Brooke that he would "thank God every day for the rest of my life for giving me you."

In 2006, the late Benjamin Hendrickson (c., pictured with Jennifer Landon as Gwen and Jesse Soffer as Will) made his final appearance as Hal on As The World Turns. The Daytime Emmy-winning actor, who joined the show in 1985, died by suicide on July 3, 2006. In Hendrickson's last episode, Hal agreed to let Parker, his son with Carly, move back in with his mother. Hal was ultimately written out when it was revealed that he had died off-camera, heroically saving a teenager's life during a robbery while he was in Washington, D.C. on assignment.

In 2007, a gravely ill Jessica (Bree Williamson) wed Nash (Forbes March) on One Life To Live. Jessica had contracted Hepatitis C and underwent a liver transplant (her ex, Antonio Vega, was the donor), but her body rejected the organ. David Vickers turned out to be a donor match, and Jessica and Nash tied the knot shortly before her surgery, which was successful. Nash and Jessica's marriage ended tragically in 2008 when Nash took a fatal dive through a skylight.

In 2013, Rena Sofer debuted as Bold and Beautiful's Quinn Fuller, the mother of Darin Brooks's Wyatt Fuller (who, it was revealed, was the result of her former involvement with Bill Spencer). Quinn, a jewelry designer, found happiness for a time in her marriage to Eric Forrester, but the union ended in divorce and Sofer exited the show in 2022.
