Since announcing the streaming release of the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” concert movie, the anticipation has been building so much that Disney+ will premiere the movie one day earlier, giving fans the greatest experience beginning Thursday, March 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT.
The film is an updated version of the history-making cinematic experience directed by Sam Wrench. It features five additional songs, including “Cardigan” and four acoustic songs that weren’t part of the original film’s release back in October, which grossed over $260 million worldwide at the global box office, making it the top-selling concert film of all time.
Starring global phenomenon Taylor Swift, the movie gives fans who could not grab tickets to the in-person spectacle or those who lucked out in watching it on the big screen at their local theater.
“‘The Eras Tour’ has been a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world, and we are very excited to bring this electrifying concert to audiences wherever they are, exclusively on Disney+,” said Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, in a statement announcing the deal for the film to stream on Disney+.
