THE NUMBERS

“The View” (2.252 million) and “GMA3: What You Need to Know” (1.331 million) were the big winners during the week of June 3-7, 2024 among Women 18-49 rating and Women 18-49 viewers, each hitting eight-week highs in the key sales demographic. In the case of “GMA3,” the news show also hit an eight-week high among Total Viewers.

“The View” and “The Young and the Restless” (3.067 million) saw the biggest week-to-week gains among Women 25-54 rating, each up +0.05. The CBS soap marked its best performance in the category in five weeks.

Although “General Hospital” averaged less than two million viewers for the eighth consecutive week and the 14th time this season, the show hit a five-week high among Total Viewers and a three-week high in Women 18-49 (0.21 rating). Compared with one week earlier, “General Hospital” added +85,000 viewers back to its total, which was the largest week-to-week gain for the series since the week of March 4-8, 2024.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” (2.637 million) and “The Young and the Restless” saw the largest growth week-to-week across daytime broadcast among Total Viewers, up +106,000 viewers and +92,000 viewers, respectively.

The first half-hour of “Let’s Make a Deal” (1.976 million) remained under two million viewers for the second consecutive week despite gaining +51,000 viewers over its week ago performance. The show aired repeats on Monday, June 3.

  • “Let’s Make a Deal” aired a repeat on Monday, June 3. On Friday, June 7, the second half-hour was broken out, airing for just 11 minutes due to a special report on President Biden delivering remarks on democracy and freedom from Pointe du Hoc for the anniversary of D-Day. Regardless, the show’s weekly average is based on five days (Monday-Friday).
  • “NBC News Daily” was preempted on Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7 due to NBC Sports coverage of the French Open. The show’s weekly average is based on three days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
  • Due to last year’s WGA strike, “The Talk” aired repeats from May 12-October 6, 2023. Year-over-year comparisons are based on repeat airings which do not factor into the show’s season average. The show was coded as a special on Monday, May 27 due to the Memorial Day Holiday.
  • “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” was retitled to “TDY HODA & JENNA-HJ” on Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7. The show’s weekly average is based on three days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
