The ultimate high school buddy comedy Do Revenge is coming to Netflix with Riverdale star Camila Mendes and Stranger Things' Maya Hawke ready to wreak havoc on their beachy, pastel-uniformed prep school.
Do Revenge follows Cami's popular queen bee Drea as she teams up with Maya's Eleanor to swap revenge victims, going after their respective bullies for some vigilante justice. The comedy also features an astounding cast of young stars, from Sophie Turner to Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin breakout Maia Reficco. (Oh, and music by Este Haim and Amanda Yamate.)
“I spent 17 years meticulously curating the perfect life,” Camila Mendes begins in a voiceover, as flashes of that perfect life show on screen. “I had the perfect friends, perfect boyfriend, but you know where all of that got me? Absolutely destroyed.” That boyfriend, Max (played by Euphoria's Austin Abrams) has “ruined” her life and is now masquerading as a “fake woke” feminist running a club called The Cis Hetero Men Championing Female Identifying Students League. (Seriously.)
Eleanor, meanwhile, has been falsely accused of sexual assault from a girl in her class, played by Ava Capri. Drea comes to her with a solution, and a makeover, of course: “Your new vibe is high-status c*nt," she says. Chaos ensues. As Eleanor puts it, “Teenage girls, we're psychopaths.”
Alisha Boe, Paris Berelc, Talia Ryder, Eliza Bennett, J.D., Cassady McClincy, and Rish Shah round out the stacked cast. Meanwhile, the director and co-writer is Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who worked on films such as Thor: Love and Thunder, Unpregnant, and Someone Great.
