When Heartstopper star Joe Locke leaves the house, he brings along a few essentials: a baseball cap, sunglasses, a camera, a Cartier ring, and his favorite moisturizer — a much more budget-friendly pick than the aforementioned ring.
In a new video for British Vogue's "In the Bag" series, Joe Locke spilled his Dior backpack and gave fans a glimpse at what he totes around daily. Locke, like many other celebrities and regular folks like you and me, is a big fan of the enduring classic Weleda Skin Food moisturizer.
"It's cheap, it's great," the actor explained while showing off the signature green tube. “Every film set makeup artist has this in their toolkit. It's citrusy but floral.” Skin Food is a rich, heavy cream packed with plant essences and is available at a few accessible price points; if the OG cream is too thick for you, it's also available in a light version. (If you have sensitive skin, you might want to try other options.)
Another must for Locke is a curl cream; the actor sports an enviable crop of curls, but those camera-ready curls were a journey. "I struggled so long with my hair. If you look at photos of me from a year ago plus, my hair is so long, fluffy, so unkempt, it's awful," Locke explains. "I went for so many different curl creams, and then I found this one." His go-to product is the Everyday Curl Crème from British model Eyal Booker's new brand called Wavy.
Locke is also a fan of La Roche-Posay's Anthelios SPF, which he likes because it doesn't feel sticky, and Le Labo's Tonka 25, a dark, woody blend of orange flower, Tonka, cedar, and resins. The actor freshens up on a hot day with Caudalie's Beauty Elixir, another makeup artist fave. "I think my bag says that I somewhat have taste, but I'm also very lazy," he jokes. We beg to differ — as evidenced by the mix of luxe and budget-friendly picks in his backpack, Locke definitely has good taste.
