Kim Kardashian made just about every headline with her 2022 Met Gala 'fit, but as she revealed on Instagram, she wore a second major look. After the Met Gala carpet had cleared and the fashionable festivities were over, Kim wore another Marilyn Monroe dress.

ICYMI, the star wore Marilyn's famous sheer dress on the Met Gala carpet. She later changed into a replica, as the real dress, worn in 1962, was far too precious for an entire night of wear.

In an Instagram post shared on Friday, May 6, the star revealed she had the “honor” of wearing another of Marilyn's dresses from 1962. As she explained in her post, the after-Gala gown she wore was one sported by Marilyn at the Golden Globes Awards. While wearing the gown, Marilyn was awarded the Henrietta Award for World Film Favorite.

Kim explained how she decided on the second look, writing, “In my quest to find the Jean Louis hand beaded dress that I wore to the gala, I discovered @heritageauctions owned Marilyn’s iconic green sequined gown. Further into my research I found out that the owner of the Golden Globe that she received that evening was none other than my friend @jeffleatham. I saw this all as a sign the way that all of the stars aligned.”

There's no word on whether the star headed to any after-parties in her green gown, but she had hinted to Vogue that she was planning to just “eat pizza in my hotel room.” As for the celebs actually spotted out and about, it appeared that lingerie was the look of the night.

Naturally, Kim had to deliver on photos of her in the gown. For her Insta photoshoot, her newly platinum blonde hair (which took 14 hours to complete) was still pulled back and she was wearing earrings. “It will forever be one of the greatest privileges of my life to be able to channel my inner Marilyn in this way, on such a special night,” she wrote on her Instagram.
