It's Freaky Friday (again) for Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Fans were over the moon to see a new photo of both Lohan and Curtis together after the latter posted a selfie on Friday — a fitting day, naturally. Curtis and Lohan were beaming in the sweet photo and gave fans a taste of what's (possibly) to come.

“Too late. YOU GREW UP and SO BEAUTIFULLY,” Curtis wrote in the caption. “Well, it's Friday, and the strike is over so hopefully, we can switch places again in the near future!”

Curtis tagged both Lohan and Disney — which leads people to believe that she is definitely pushing a sequel to the duo's hit movie and cult classic Freaky Friday.

20 years after the film originally hit theaters, Curtis and Lohan were confirmed to be in talks of making a sequel. The actors would once again play the beloved mother-daughter duo Anna and Tess Coleman. A script was reportedly in the works but may have been delayed due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Now that both of the strikes have been resolved, is filming just around the corner?

While the Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis version of Freaky Friday is likely what fans think of when they think of the body-switching comedy, the 2003 Disney movie is actually the third installment of the story. Based on a book of the same name by author Mary Rogers, it was made into a movie first in 1976 and then again in 1995. The Lohan and Curtis version is by far the most successful and well-known.

Back in February, Curtis was putting out the news herself that the sequel would be happening. In an interview, she said firmly “It’s going to happen.”

“Without saying there’s anything officially happening, I’m looking at you in this moment and saying, ‘Of course it’s going to happen.’ It’s going to happen," she continued.

After taking a step back from acting in a starring role for several years, Lohan dove back in last year with the Netflix Christmas rom-com, Falling for Christmas. Fans were excited to see their childhood icon back on screen and have been calling her comeback the “Lohanassaince.” She recently reunited with some of her Mean Girls costars including Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried, for a Walmart commercial that gave fans the dose of early aughts nostalgia they needed. A Freaky Friday sequel could only add to the excitement of diehard Lohan fans.
