It's easy to love a good fan theory about your favorite Disney movies, but there's one conspiracy that Mandy Moore just isn't here for.

You see, it all started when some eagle-eyed fans noticed Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, the central characters of Tangled, attending the coronation of Queen Elsa in Frozen. It's a pretty standard Disney easter egg — the studio has had a lot of fun with hiding characters like The Lion King's Scar in Hercules and Beauty and the Beast's Mrs. Potts in Tarzan. But despite the fact that the costumes in each movie mean that they're likely set almost 300 years apart, some fans have still held onto the idea that Anna and Elsa's parents were on the way to Rapunzel and Flynn's wedding when their boat sank.

(There's also a theory that Ariel, better known as The Little Mermaid, found that shipwreck in her movie, and another theory that Tarzan is the princesses's little brother, which has been sort-of confirmed. What a tangled web the Mouse weaves.)

"That’s a pretty morbid fan theory. It feels like someone really reaching into Lost territory or something... or This Is Us territory," Mandy noted, joking about her other show (which, BTW, will leave you a certified wreck after even one episode). "There is no connection, as far as I know, but I don't think there's any connection, no. But sure, people can imagine what they will all day, that's their prerogative."

Of course, there's also the fact that the theory would suppose that Flynn and Rapunzel did not age in the 10 or so years between the shipwreck and the coronation, as they look identical to their Tangled appearances in the screen shot. But we're talking about the magic of Disney here, and one of the the major factors in the new fan theory that connects Beauty and the Beast and The Hunchback of Notre Dame is the ability to time-jump. Does this mean that the Enchantress's magic book also exists in the Tangled universe? If so, what's 10 years — or even 300 — to a couple of royals with a magic book at their disposal? Or should we just... let this go? (Sorry.)
