Sydney Sweeney Says Cassie’s 4 A.M. Routine on “Euphoria” Featured Her Actual Products

In episode three of Euphoria's sophomore season, Cassie Howard, a high school senior, wakes up at 4 A.M. to undergo a total beauty regimen in hopes of catching the eye of her best friend's ex (and her current friend with benefits) Nate Jacobs. The routine is intense, and we watch as Cassie goes about it with intense determination, revealing the cracks underneath her facade as she scrubs, shaves, and styles. The moment is played both for comedy and drama, but according to actor Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie in the HBO series, the routine isn't too far from the truth.

"Most of those tools during Cassie's 4 A.M. manic routine, I brought from my own house because that is my manic routine," Sydney shared in an interview with HBO Max, posted on TikTok. According to Sydney, she had some input into what Cassie used. "I'm just gonna bring a bin to set that day and I'll play with all the tools and you tell me if you like it."

Cassie's morning routine is pretty intense, and PopSugar UK did the leg work in figuring out what exactly she used from the moment she tumbled out of bed to the moment she hit the hallways, which according to the pub will set you back £445 (or around $600.) First, Cassie wraps her hair in heatless curls with The Heatless Hair Curling Ribbon in blue; the ribbon is made of real silk so it's gentle on hair and comfortable to sleep in and costs $48. To combat the early morning eyes, Cassie slaps on Peter Thomas Roth's Cucumber De-Tox Hydra Gel Eye Patches, ($52) then aggressively rolls her face with both a jade roller and an ice roller. Cassie also does some gua sha and uses the iconic Jillian Dempsey Gold Bar to further sculpt her face — that product alone rings up at a whopping $195! We can't forget the reusable sheet mask ($38), which looks a little ominous as Cassie frantically goes through her beauty routine.

After shaving her legs with disposable razors (not accounted for in PopSugar's tally), Cassie softens up with Shea Moisture lotion, and follows that with the beloved Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs. Exhausted yet? Well, the party is just getting started. We may have seen Cassie and Sydney's skin- and hair-care routine in Euphoria, but the actor has even more to share. 

Last year, Sydney shared her favorite products in a Beauty Secrets video for Vogue, and the list includes some absolute classics. Sydney shares that she has really sensitive skin and it's taken her a while to find the right products that enhance her skin, not irritate it. She loves Caudalíe VinoClean Deep Cleansing Exfoliator, Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel, and The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. Sydney's go-to sunscreen is EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 because it doesn't break her out and she uses it after applying the SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Antioxidant Serum and the Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre.

She also keeps her lips soft with the classic Burt's Bees Lip Balm, saying that she has a tube in every single purse. For makeup, Cassie perfects her skin with Tarte Poreless Mattifying Primer, Il Makiage Woke Up Like This Flawless Base Foundation, and Glossier Stretch Concealer. (She also uses the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer to cover up any pesky blemishes.) She then adds color and a sunkissed look with Glossier Cloud Paint. Sydney is also a fan of the brand's Lidstar. She uses Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder and the Filmstar Bronze & Glow Contour Duo to finish her base.

In the video, Sydney shares that she also loves a drugstore find and her fave mascara is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara. To sculpt and shape her lips, Sydney uses Charlotte Tilbury's Lip Cheat before adding a shimmery, plumped-up look with Clarins Natural Lip Perfector. And voilà! She's off to work — or to school, in Cassie's case. (If we do the math, with the products used in Euphoria plus her actual routine, Sydney's beauty cabinet is worth at least $1,190.)
