If you thought you heard the last about the Kanye West vs. Taylor Swift feud — think again.

The entirety of the now-infamous 2016 phone call was supposedly “leaked” on Friday, March 20, shedding more light on the conversation that served as a catalyst for Taylor’s social media and public disappearance for the next year. As a brief refresher: in July 2016, Kim Kardashian released video of Kanye and Taylor discussing the rapper’s song “Famous,” in which she seemingly approved a lyric about her: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex.” Taylor later claimed that she did not hear the song in full, saying in a social media statement: “Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is a character assassination.”

The new clips, which are currently making the rounds on Twitter, seem to reinforce Taylor’s assertion that she wasn’t given the entire picture and shows the singer's hesitation about the entire song. At the beginning of the video, Kanye can be heard asking Taylor to help promote the track, while preparing her for a “controversial” lyric. The line in question turns out to be a different version of the lyric we all know: “I feel like Taylor Swift might owe me sex.” (FYI no one “owes” anyone else sex, ever. Period.)

Throughout the remainder of the call, leading up to the clip that Kim originally put on Snapchat, we can hear Taylor expressing her uncertainty, saying at one point: "If I launch it, it adds to this level of criticism. Having this many followers and having this many eyeballs on me right now, people are just looking for me to do something dumb or stupid or lame. I feel like people would try to make it negative if it came from me. I try to be super-self aware about where I am and I feel like right now, I’m really close to over-exposure."

It's worth noting that nowhere in the full call do we hear Kanye telling Taylor the next line in the song, "I made that b*tch famous."

While the origins of the new video remain unclear, Taylor’s fans are taking it as further proof that the singer-songwriter was wronged by Kanye and Kim in 2016. “THIS is what y'all did,” one fan wrote. “You all bullied a girl into disappearing for a year and even think about ending her career just because you all didn't even want to listen to her part of the story, which is the truth.”

Other fans invoked some of Taylor’s most iconic lyrics in response: “If a man talks sh*t then I owe him nothing” seems to be a particular favorite, as is “I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time.” Alexa, play “The Man!”

Still, some fans are just grateful to have a distraction while practicing social distancing, and one person even joked that the leak was Kris Jenner’s doing, in efforts to get people to talk about the Kardashian-Jenner fam instead of coronavirus.

At the time of writing, neither Kanye nor Taylor have responded to the new clip — but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out to see if they do.
