Calling all Euphoria casting directors! Tom Holland wants a role on the hit HBO series, and Zendaya is totally on board too.
During a fan Q+A video with IMBD, the Spider-Man: No Way Home actors talked about the prospect of Tom kicking it with Rue and Jules. “Listen, I have been petitioning for this for a long time and it has not happened yet and I'm very disappointed,” Tom shared, adding that he’s come to visit the Euphoria set at least 30 times while filming this season. 30! That’s dedication.
Zendaya was quick to agree, suggesting that they should have figured out an Easter egg moment to get Tom in one of the episodes. He doubled down, confirming, “I want to be in Euphoria!” Z pledged to take it up with HBO to try and make it happen, so we’ll have to wait and see if Tom gets his moment to shine. In the mean time, we’d suggest he start practicing some graphic liner and glitter makeup looks in order to fully fit in with the East Highland High crew!
This isn’t the first casting idea Tom and Zendaya have discussed with the public; just a few weeks ago, the two confessed they are rooting for Timothée Chalamet to join the Spider-Man universe, ideally as a friend-turned-foe of Spidey himself. “I think it would be good to bring him in as a [friend] and then he kind of becomes bad, and then he can be a villain,” Tom mused in an interview with the Associated Press. “He'd be a good villain.”
Tom and Z have been making the press rounds while promoting No Way Home, and sharing tons of cute anecdotes and stories from filming — like the time Tom spoiled a major Marvel moment for his costar, or joking with one another about their height differences. Here’s hoping some of their casting ideas eventually become canon too!
