Tennessee Vols dismiss guard Detrick Mostellla

KNOXVILLE — Detrick Mostella has been dismissed from the Tennessee basketball team for a violation of team rules, Tennessee spokesman Tom Satkowiak confirmed to GoVols247 on Tuesday night.
Mostella, a junior guard from Decatur, Ala., averaged 10.5 points and 3.39 rebounds per game in 15 games this season, making one start before settling into his role as the team's sixth man.
“I’ve always been very clear about the standards that members of this program will be held to,” second-year Tennessee coach Rick Barnes said in a statement. “Those standards are very high, and Detrick unfortunately has not lived up to them.”
