HUNTER Biden has been pictured leaving a famed Malibu restaurant minutes before comedian Rosie O'Donnell, who is among the growing Dem backers urging the president to end his reelection bid.

The embattled First Son, 54, and O'Donnell were photographed leaving the celebrity hotspot Nobu on Thursday afternoon just minutes before President Joe Biden was set to deliver critical remarks at a NATO summit.

Photographers captured Hunter leaving a long lunch meeting in business casual while O'Donnell exited the eatery in cut-off jean shorts and an open-dress shirt.

It is not clear if the two were together or spoke to each other while at the restaurant.

The pictures were snapped before Biden, 81, addressed foreign allies and reporters in Washington DC to prove he was still fit to run for a second term.

It was President Biden's first solo press conference this year, as he was forced to answer pressing questions from the media.

Biden has been pushed to step aside since his disastrous presidential debate against rival and presumptive Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump.

Questions about Biden's health and cognitive deficits were the central topic that arose from the debate, fracturing the support of Democrats on Capitol Hill, donors, and supporters.

In the weeks since the debate, Biden has attempted to patch the leaking confidence of supporters and his reelection campaign.

However, a series of alarming gaffes from the president in public appearances and media interviews have failed to help the Biden administration's efforts.

O'Donnell, 62, is among an increasing number of Democratic supporters who have called on Biden to step aside.

The comedian posted the link to an opinion piece from The New York Times by Ezra Klein in February titled Democrats Have a Better Option Than Biden.

Joe Biden should step down as time is running out for the Democratic Party, claims expert

"I agree with this whole piece," she wrote at the time on X, formerly Twitter.

'TIME TO PASS THE TORCH'

Still, O'Donnell's push for change didn't stop there.

On June 28, the American Gigolo actress posted a blurry picture of Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, addressing Biden in her caption.

"Joe Biden - thank u for all u have given our country - time to pass the torch - now - and for God's sake democrats GET IT TOGETHER [before] its too late #savedemocracy," she wrote in an Instagram post.

While responding to a comment about whether Biden was fit to run, O'Donnell replied, "I believe we will have a better chance to defeat Trump with another candidate."

Another user said the debate wasn't a call to replace him, but she responded, "It's time."

A third commenter was concerned her post was "hurting our chances," but O'Donnell quickly clapped back, "Willful blindness is hurting our chances."

How could Biden be removed from race?

Calls for Joe Biden to end his reelection campaign have mounted since his poor presidential debate night performance on June 27

After the debate, the 81-year-old president's cognitive health concerns were once again a pressing topic among news outlets and his allies in the Democratic Party.

What has Joe Biden said about his future in the race?

  • Biden has remained defiant and shot down calls for him to step aside in the upcoming presidential election.
  • The Biden administration was forced to deny reports that the president confided to a close ally that he is considering withdrawing from the race.
  • In a July 5 interview with ABC News, Biden said that "no one is more qualified" to win the race than him, adding only the "Lord Almighty" could convince him to resign.
  • On July 8, Biden sent a scathing letter to Congressional DNC members who have called on him to step down.
  • "I want you to know that despite all the speculation in the press and elsewhere, I am firmly committed to staying in this race, to running this race to the end, and to beating Donald Trump," the president wrote.
  • Biden proceeded to slam "elites" in a live interview with MSNBC, daring any challenger to run against him.

How could Joe Biden be removed from the ballot?

  • Since the June 27 debate night, a growing number of Congressional Democrats have called on Biden to end his reelection campaign.
  • So far, five out of the 213 DNC members in Congress have publicly called for Biden to quit the race.
  • As Biden continues to emphasize his status in the upcoming election, many are wondering whether the 25th Amendment should be used to oust him.

What is the 25th Amendment?

  • The 25th Amendment of the Constitution states the vice president shall replace a president if they die in office or resign or if members of the president's cabinet declare the president is unable to fulfill the duties of their office.
  • Labor Secretary Julie Su, who would need to invoke the 25th Amendment, called the idea "absurd."

TIME TO GO

After Joe Biden's defiant letter to Democrat leaders, in which he affirmed his candidacy, author Stephen King and actor George Clooney made their views clear on his campaign.

"Joe Biden has been a fine president, but it's time for him - in the interests of the America he so clearly loves - to announce he will not run for re-election," King wrote on X.

Clooney's response came later in a The New York Times opinion piece titled I Love Joe Biden. But We Need a New Nominee.

"I consider him a friend, and I believe in him. Believe in his character. Believe in his morals. In the last four years, he’s won many of the battles he’s faced," he wrote.

“But the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can. It’s devastating, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe 'big F-ing deal' Biden of 2010.

"He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate."

In his piece, the Ocean's 8 actor called on top Dems Chuck SchumerHakeem JeffriesNancy Pelosi, and other political figures to "ask this president to voluntarily step aside."

"We are not going to win in November with this president. On top of that, we won’t win the House, and we’re going to lose the Senate," he insisted.

Rosie O'Donnell posted an article about Clooney's piece to X.

"George Clooney, who co-hosted recent Biden fundraiser, says president should step aside in 2024 election - ABC News #agreed," she wrote.

PRESS CONFERENCE MESS

Biden's NATO press conference was the first solo event he held since the debate with Trump, which sent his campaign into free fall.

Despite his efforts, Biden continues to fail to prove he is fit to remain in office for another four years.

On a night when he was tasked to back his claims of being the only "qualified candidate to win the race," Biden confused his Vice President Kamala Harris with Donald Trump.
