The movie is currently in theatres and will seemingly be available to purchase on Apple, YouTube, and Amazon in the future, but the public has praised the movie with mixed feelings.

In A Violent Nature was directed by Hollywood's Chris Nash and features actors, Ryan Barrett, Andrea Pavlovic and Charlotte Creaghan among others.

Rotten Tomatoes, the movie rating site, has seen plenty of new thoughts coming in since the release of the much-anticipated slasher.

The movie received rave reviews from critics on the site, reaching a solid score of 87%, which proves high for a new movie.

However, the audience rating only boasts a small 45%, proving that is did not appear to be a hit for viewers.

Critics had previously scored the popular horror movie Abigail with an 85%, despite it being a huge hit with the audience.

Abigail also received a score of 85% from the audience.

Social media fans were confused as to why critics had given In A Violent Nature such a high rating when fans were not happy with their viewing experience.

"‘IN A VIOLENT NATURE’ is now Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes at 87% with 105 reviews," wrote a user on X, formerly Twitter.

Fans flooded the comments with confusion.

"The audience score says otherwise," wrote a follower.

"Somebody's lying… is this movie fire or trash?…" asked another.

"Why’s the audience score bad? Usually it’s the other way around," wondered a third.

"The audience score is the only one that matters," noted a fourth.

105 critics flooded the Rotten Tomatoes page with love for the movie, despite saying it took a while to pay off.

POSITIVE THOUGHTS

"Easily the best horror film of 2024 thus far," wrote a critic with a rating of three and a half stars out of five.

"An intriguing, slow burn, art house slasher that’s both beautifully scenic and scenically brutal," added another.

"In a Violent Nature is a solid execution of a high-concept idea that brings a fresh perspective to slashers," said a third.

However, the audience flooded the review section with criticism for the new movie

Over 100 users have left their thoughts, with most saying the pacing was bad.

UNSURE VIEWERS

"Boy oh boy did this movie stink. If you like spending a movie where 50 minutes is just a zombie walking around then you came to the right place," expressed one irritated person.

"Some of the kills are good but those cannot make up for how boring and stupid the story is. Do not watch this movie. Spare yourself 2 hours."

"So slow and boring. Terrible last 15 mins (felt like an hour) of meaningless dribble. Skip it," emphasized another.

Others repeated the fact that you might as well just go home rather than go to the cinema to watch the movie.
