The show stars a slew of British TV favourites headed up by acting legend and former EastEnders star Danny Dyer and comedian and The Inbetweeners star Emily Atack.

Skins heartthrob Luke Pasqualino also heads up the cast which follows the raucous antics of those in fictional Rutshire.

David Tennant also appears as character Tony who is locked in a fierce battle with his enemy, Rupert, played by Alex Hassell.

The streaming giant has yet to confirm a release date for the programme but has already begun drumming up excitement.

In a synopsis to preview the series, Disney wrote: "The story is set against the backdrop of the drama, excess, and shocking antics of the power-grabbing social elite of 1980s England.

"In the fictional county of Rutshire, a long-standing rivalry between two powerful men is about to boil over.

"Alex Hassell plays dashing ex-Olympian, Tory Member of Parliament and incorrigible rake, the dangerously charismatic Rupert Campbell-Black.

"David Tennant plays Rupert's single-mindedly ambitious and egotistical Rutshire neighbour Lord Tony Baddingham, controller of Corinium Television.

"A long-simmering power struggle between them threatens to boil over when the two men lock horns over the future of Corinium."

Sex and scandal are set to be at the heart of the series with the show's trailer featuring a series of eye-popping and suggestive moments.
