Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle ascended to fame in her role as Rachel Zane in American drama series Suits, before she began dating Prince Harry. The California-born actress and the British prince first met on a blind date in July 2016 and their wedding took place on May 19, 2018 at Windsor Castle. Almost two billion people around the world tuned in as the pair tied the knot and they caused a frenzy worldwide.

When starting out in her acting career, Meghan worked as a freelance calligrapher, and went on to star in films such as Remember Me and Get Him to the Greek, before joining the cast of Suits in 2011. The Duchess was previously married to American film producer Trevor Engelson for three years, before the couple separated in August 2013. Markle has years of experience working with charities and has spoken publicly about issues such as gender equality. She funded Together: Our Community Cookbook, which was put together by the survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire and she is now patron of the Royal National Theatre and charity Smart Works.
