A view from Rochdale: ‘Democracy has gone out of the window’ – video

The Guardian was working with a community reporting team called the Elephant’s Trail in Rochdale on a series about their town when a byelection was called. The contest quickly plunged into chaos after the Labour party and the Green party withdrew support for their candidates and the canvassing was dominated by smaller parties. But how did this affect the voters?
