Michael J. Fox, the beloved actor known for his roles in Back to the Future and Family Ties, made a surprise appearance during Coldplay’s headlining set at the Glastonbury music festival.
During the performance, Fox played guitar on two songs: “Humankind” and “Fix You.”
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin introduced Fox with an amusing reference to perhaps his most famous role as Marty McFly.
“Here is another legendary Michael, ” Martin said after also introducing festival founder, Sir Michael Eavis.
“One who just totally rocks. With his Chuck Berry riff and the way he punched Biff: ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Michael J. Fox.”

Michael J Fox Joins Coldplay For A Couple Of Tunes
The crowd was thrilled to see Fox, who has been battling Parkinson’s disease since 1991, take the stage and join Coldplay in this special moment.
Martin meanwhile, clearly admires Fox and his work. In fact, he said the band itself came about because of the Hollywood star.
“Especially thank you to the main reason why we’re in a band, is because of watching ‘Back to the Future,’” he told fans.
“So thank you to our hero forever, and one of the most amazing people on Earth, Mr. Michael J. Fox,” Martin added. “Thank you so much, our hero.”

Played Johnny B. Goode With The Band
This was not the first time Michael J. Fox had joined Coldplay on stage, but his appearance still managed to shock and delight fans.
He also performed with Coldplay at MetLife Stadium in July 2016, where they performed “Johnny B. Goode” in its entirety.
Just last month, Michael J Fox, who starred in the 1985 movie Teen Wolf, was seen at a New York Rangers hockey game with Jason Bateman, the lead in the 1987 sequel Teen Wolf Too.

Coldplay’s performance at Glastonbury 2024 was a record-breaking fifth headlining set for the band. It was a memorable night filled with special guests and surprises.
