Survivors of bigot rapist David Cooper’s terror reign say ‘rot in hell’ as beast is caged

They supported each other as the cocaine-addicted Rangers fan began 12 years behind bars

THREE survivors of bigot rapist David Cooper’s terror reign told the maniac: “Rot in hell.”

The brave women spoke to The Scottish Sun on Sunday as they met up for the first time since exposing the sectarian thug’s booze and drug-fuelled violence at a harrowing trial.

They supported each other as cocaine-addicted Rangers fan Cooper, 38, began 12 years behind bars after being nailed for murder bids and three abductions, multiple rapes and hateful rampages over nearly two decades.

Linking arms, the trio — all former partners of the fiend — told us: “He’s a monster.”

Cooper’s first survivor, who suffered at his hands from 2003 to 2005, insisted: “Hes got no remorse. He’s an animal.”

The second victim, tormented by Cooper from 2002 to 2006, said: “I don’t think he realised how strong we all are. He thought he could intimidate us and we would crumble.

“But I was empowered by telling the truth about him.

“I hope he feels how I felt when I was cowering in the corner away from him, terrified.”

And another ex-partner — battered by the thug while eight months pregnant — insisted: “All he cared about was drink, drugs and Rangers. Now he can’t hurt any more women.”

She told how the brute’s outbursts were worst after his team’s matches — win or lose.

The woman, also a Light Blues fan, recalled: “Even if Rangers won, if you were even slightly critical about the team you’d get it.

“He would batter me, he tried to gouge out my eyeballs, spat on me.

“I don’t know how I survived, he tried to kill me so many times.”

And she told how she was thumped by the sicko while she was pregnant.

She recalled: “He forced me face down on top of my bump and booted me.

“This was a child he could have harmed or worse — and he didn’t care.

“I had bald patches in my head because he pulled my extensions out and I’d be black and blue. He was an animal.

“I didn’t leave because he told me he’d kill me.

“And with his horrendous behaviour I believed him.”

His vicious ways continued for several years but she was finally able to escape after meeting her current partner in 2020.

One of the common themes across his 19 years of violence was assaulting women in his motor while driving at high speed.

And the thug’s first victim, aged 15 when they began dating, revealed that Cooper was a bully “from the very start.”

She recalled: “David spat in my face, seized my neck and thumped my head against the car window.”

His reign of violence was finally revealed in April 2022 when he threw a fourth woman out of a moving car, leaving her bloodied on a motorway sliproad.

Cops launched a probe and went on to find the other victims who shared their own traumatic stories at Cooper’s hands.

Later a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh exposed how the Ibrox diehard threw one woman down a flight of stairs after Rangers won the league on so-called Helicopter Sunday in May 2005.

The Scottish Sun told how vile Cooper, of Larkhall, Lanarkshire, also called his victim a “Fenian b*****d” and a “bead-rattler”.

Cooper was caged by a judge at the High Court in Glasgow earlier this month.

Lord Mulholland told the beast: “You are clearly a danger to women.

“You have shown no remorse and have indulged in victim blaming.

“This is not the victims’ fault you find are in this predicament. It’s your violent sexual offending that has put you in the dock.”
